Dear All,
Is it mandatory to have mediclaim for employees who are not covered under ESIC. As per amendment esic limit is exceeded upto 21000. So if employee earning is more than 21000 he will not be applicable for ESIC. In this case should employer provide mediclaim facility? Is it mandatory for employer to provide it.?

It is always advisable to the employer for having a employee compensation policy of those respective employees to be on the safe side. Because employer is responsible for any untoward incident within the factory premises.
