If an employer suddenly comes and informs that we don't have more money to run the organization and sends an email stating that your services are discontinued, what should an employee do? They have given their time for more than a year, and when it's time for an increment, they are being asked to leave in one month.

It happens when funds challenge the boss. You may update the labor commissioner on this closure and start exploring other opportunities. Wish you good luck

An employer cannot decide all of a sudden to close their enterprise and ask everyone to leave. You have not disclosed the nature of your enterprise. Assuming the applicability of the ID Act 1947, such closures can be done only with proper approval from the concerned government and by paying compensation. You may meet the local Labour Inspector/Labour Officer and discuss the matter.
