Dear Seniors,

Recently, I joined as an HR Officer at a newly opened automobile parts manufacturing company with a staff strength of 150. Prior to this role, I worked in a non-IT company as an HR executive.

Could you please provide information on the Labour Acts in Karnataka that are applicable to automobile manufacturing? Additionally, I would like to know about the necessary books and records that need to be maintained during a labor inspection.

Regards,
Anand

Instead of asking what all the laws are applicable, you may better ask what is not applicable, like the Plantation Labour Act and the Mines Act. You can refer to a book on labor laws along with the Karnataka State Rules, which will provide you with full details. You can also seek the services of consultants who specialize in Labor Law compliance matters.
