Dear Aijazahamed,

What you mean by paid leave is probably "earned leave," I think. It is also called annual leave with wages or privilege leave, depending on the establishment-specific labor law applicable to the establishment. The unavailed portion of such EL/PL can be accumulated over a period of years, subject to the limit prescribed under the applicable law concerned.

The limits are different in different laws. You need to tell us what type of organisation you work with and where it is located

Dear Aijazahamed,

The leave policy of the establishment confirms the maximum limit of accumulation for Earned Leave one can have. Any amount above the limit gets encashed to the employee's account (we follow this kind of system), and the limit is 300 days of leave. You can implement a policy for your establishment if it does not currently exist.
