Dear all, I'm a resident of Odisha .my husband' was a technical manager in HCL, Noida .due to his epilepsy prob. He remained absent in his duty which he was unable to inform even so the company declared him absconded. During this he was expired. Being a widow with a small baby I was no in a condition to go to Noida and settle PF and pension issues. And also I got to know he has not filled up nomination form.after a loads of harrassment I went to Noida last month and asked him to settle the issues. But they are not cooperating me to get the EDLI amount by saying he is absconded so he is not eligible. But in my point of view neither the company have police complaint report nor there is written resignation by my husband . So that period of 2months can be considered as service without pay. But they are harassing me. Please help me to get all the death benefits of my husband so that I will be able to give my son a better education. As EDLI is a govt policy the employer has nthng to pay from his pocket only matter is understanding. Please help.
