I have worked with my current organisation for 3+yrs and have resigned to join another organisation. They did try to retain me but I did not relent. Post that, While I have been continuously following up for resignation acceptance they are not giving me a definitive answer on the acceptance or relieving date. Also, the day I resigned they were upset and asked him to stop reporting of office and told me they will pay me and do the full and final settlement and I have this documented over an email. Post that they did call me and ask me to join back which I did on their behest and sense of responsibility to initiate handover.
How ever in the meantime I communicated to my future employers that we can pre-pone the date of joining considering I was asked not to report to office. Now I am stuck as my current employer is not accepting my resignation not informing me of last working day inspite of multiple follow-ups. The notice period is 3 months and I can only serve 45 days considering I had committed to early joining in the next company. My current employers are just not cooperating and I am under a lot of stress and going through mental agony owing to the ambiguity from their end. Pls advice the course of action.

On what basis did you take this chance?
You will have to follow up with your current employer and mean while request your new employer to extend joining date.
Did you give a formal resignation on email or in writing?
Your post is slightly confusing
What is this I joined back to complete handover.
Kindly make your post more clear with dates of resignation ,joining back etc to get better replies.
