Dear Members,

As per Section 3 of the Industrial Dispute Act, every company having 100 or more employees shall have a work committee for the resolution of disputes. Could someone please provide me with information on the procedure for the formation of the work committee and the minutes of the work committee?

Thank you.

Dear Smruti,

All cross-functional team members should sit with the HODs and form a committee. It should be acting on common objectives of production, quality, manpower, material, etc. The frequency of its meetings and minutes are to be devised according to the organizational need. However, forming a committee is easy, but making it function is difficult. The core idea to form such a committee is to meet the requirements of all in the organization. Minutes can be made as per the discussed points with responsibility and status of the point.
