Hi, can someone please tell me if an organization can form more than one Internal Complaints Committee? My organization has only one head office situated in Bangalore. However, the employees work across pan-India locations with no physical existence of an office. I am considering creating ICCs based on regions (North, South, West & Head Office).

Dear Clarity-Seeker,
By an Amendment gazetted on May 9, 2016, the term/expression "Complaints" wherever it occurs in the SHWW (P,P & R) Act of 2013 has been deleted from the expression "Internal Complaints Committee".
Hence, the Committee constituted under Section 4 of the said Act of 2013 by every employer of every establishment employing ten or more workers shall be known as the Internal Committee.
For constituting the Internal Committee, please be guided by Section 4.
For help in implementing the mandatory provisions of the said Act, you may contact the Kritarth Team of Special Educators and Serving Members (External) at the Kritarth Team, Bengaluru Office.
