Section 3 of the Industrial Dispute Act provides for ‘Works Committee’ in factories employing 100 or more workers consisting of equal number of representatives of employer and employees.
Representatives of employees will be selected in consultation with Registered Trade Union.

as per Section 3 (1) in the case of any industrial establishment in which one hundred or more workmen are employed or have been employed on any day in the preceding twelve months, the appropriate government may by general or special order require the employer to constitute in the prescribed manner a Works Committee.....
In the section stated that appropriate government - may by general or special order require the employer to constitute..... as per this sentence some peoples are in confusion to regulate works committee or not...?
