Dear Nitin, Yes you can do that, only thing needs to be kept in mind is to follow minimum wages for the state for components.

The minimum wage gazette shall be released every year by the Labour Department. Please go through it.

Also, why does the company want to avoid showing it in the basic component?

In any case, the increase in an employee's pay should be recorded. The minimum wage is also increased annually, and on each such occasion, the company has to adjust it accordingly.

There is no such official paper. I am sure, you must not have any official paper mention about increment amount to be added in basic as well.
