Ours is a manufacturing company. The company used to pay salaries regularly on the 10th of every month. But last 3-4 yrs we are not paid on time. The payments are made beyond 25th of every month. The management is least bothered to inform the employees about the delay. Most of the employees are having salaries >10,000 Rs.
We have to enquire with the mgmt. about our salaries every month. The reply we get is we will pay you once funds come in. Our Dec 2015 salary was unpaid in Sept. 2017. This is testing our patience. Many of our colleagues have left the company.
Can any plz guide what legal options we have?
Thanx in advance

Dear Kiran,
Earlier employees of your company rationalised with the delay in getting the salary, later the delay was institutionalised or has become part of the culture. However, you need to put stop to this illegal practice. It is surprising that you have sustained for so long this delay.
Therefore, all of you can give collective representation to the labour officer of your area for the delay in disbursement of the monthly salary. At this stage, this is the only remedy available which is economically viable too. Please make note that you do not have to pay any fees for making any complaint to the labour officer.
Thanks,
