Sir, I had worked with a firm from July 1994 to October 2003 (9 years & 4 months) which was covered under EPF. From June 2011 to May 2015, I worked with a builder. This builder was not covered under EPF membership. I was working from December 2015 to October 31, 2017, with a firm that was covered under EPF. So, my total service under EPF is above 10 years. Kindly advise me on whether I can submit my application for monthly pension in Form 10D (E.P.S.).

Dear Savimani,

You have not mentioned the transfer of EPF and EPS from your first employment to your last employment. You have also not provided your age as of today. Are you not planning to take up employment anymore?

Thank you.

Dear Mr. Savimani,

Eligibility for pension is completion of 58 years of age and also, consolidated EPF service period should be at least 9.6 years (10 years). If you transferred EPS amount from a previous company or obtained a Scheme Certificate, you can apply for monthly pension after reaching 58 years of age or upon turning 50 years of age, which is referred to as reduced pension. In reduced pension, the monthly pension amount will be reduced by a certain percentage as decided by EPFO.

All the best!
