Hi all,
I have made a terrible mistake but need advice from all of you.
I am a software engineer and have received offers from two banks (MNCs). Bank A provided a joining date in May 2017 but suddenly changed it as the Pre-Employment Screening (PES) was not completed. I panicked and accepted Bank B's offer. They provided an earlier joining date, so I joined there. The next day after joining Bank B, I received a joining confirmation from Bank A. Since I preferred Bank A, I made an excuse to Bank B, took a 5-day leave, and joined Bank A.
Now, both banks have the same banking partner where they credit salaries. This situation is going to create a problem. I have decided to resign from Bank B and continue with Bank A, where I originally joined, as the salary account is already opened there to avoid any issues.
Please advise on how I can smoothly exit from Bank B, where I only worked for 5 days, without impacting my job history. I do not want Bank B to find out about this mistake.
Thank you for your help.
