Hi,

I am working in a college under a deemed university (govt) as a library assistant on a contract basis since 2013. I am the only staff member in the library. Since 2013, I have been receiving only 9000 rupees per month. The same amount is also given to those working as peons. However, the required qualification for my position is post-graduation in library science, while for peons, it is a 7th standard pass.

I have mentioned this disparity to the authorities many times, but to no avail. I have been working there for 4 years without a wage increase. I would like to know where I should register a complaint. If I were to take this matter to the high court, is there any chance of receiving justice? Please help me with valuable suggestions.

Thank you.

As you are on a contract basis, your principal employer is not paying you directly. The problem is not with how much you are getting. The problem lies in whose payroll you are on. Try to secure a permanent position there or search for an on-roll job.
