Dear friend,

Your query needs further clarification. Do you mean "resignation of the current factory manager"? If you mean resignation, then please confirm why management is not accepting the resignation. Under what reasons do they want you to continue?

Please clarify.

Thanks,

Dear Aishpratap,

There is no qualification prescribed under the Factories Act for the appointment of a "Manager". He is appointed by the Occupier of the factory. This responsibility can be entrusted to any of the senior officials of the factory who are conversant with the workings of the factory, preferably a technical person. His duties include compliance with the provisions of the Factory Act, including health, safety, and welfare.

You do not hold the office of Factory Manager at the pleasure of the company's Management. Once you have accepted this position, you are required to continue if you wish to work at the company. You can only request your management to relieve you from this responsibility.

Furthermore, you have not provided any convincing reasons for your request. I presume that you are finding the responsibilities and accountability difficult to handle due to strong reasons known to you.
