Dear Sir,

I had submitted a request at the Jalandhar Branch office 2 months ago to merge the contributions of the new ESIC IP (2913426032) into the old IP account (2913276596) and to update the Aadhar card in the old account. However, the request is still pending. Please guide me on the next steps for a possible solution.

Regards,
Sumesh Kumar

just visit your local office or regional office, with both cards and ask for "smart card" they will do the balance.

Sir, only the appropriate branch office of ESIC is empowered to correct or amend the insurance number or particulars of the insured person and his/her family. Therefore, it will be appropriate if you may contact the concerned Branch Office of ESIC, which has allotted the said insurance number to the insured person.

  • To my knowledge, you can only merge the old IP details into the new IP number and not vice versa as you want it to be. Please check with the ESIC department and try meeting the IT Nodal Cell head to solve this problem at the earliest. Follow-up is always required.

If the employee goes to get a Smart card, biometric formalities are completed, and if a duplicate is found on the spot, the earlier one is validated, and the later one is always merged. The ESIC Local Office or Regional Office is authorized to carry out this process. Ensure you have your latest TIC duly attested by your employer with a family photo, along with the TIC, to obtain the Smart card.
