Friends,
Presently, there are 43 central labor laws (Annexure-A), out of which 14 require the maintenance of more than 80 registers/records (Annexure-B) in specified formats. The Ministry of Labour & Employment has proposed the digitization of labor-related records to facilitate doing business and consolidate these registers into 9 electronic registers. The Employee Register (Annexure-C), Wage Register (Annexure-D), and Attendance Register (Annexure-E) will be standardized across various Acts, while act-specific registers will be provided separately.
Establishments will need to maintain these registers on the Shram Suvidha Portal. This will prevent duplication of work and ensure accuracy. The data will be integrated with other social security schemes, and output reports will be available in the prescribed registers as per different Acts. A concept paper regarding this matter has been circulated for comments within one month.

Annexure-B - List of 80 registers/records currently required to be maintained under various Acts
Annexure-C - Standardized Employee Register

Thanks
