Hello sir,

I am planning to pursue MHRM from M.S. University, Baroda. I would like to understand the difference between two degree courses: MBA in HR and MHRM. Could you kindly explain these two courses in detail? I am eagerly awaiting your response.

Thank you.

Hello dear,

MBA is a reputed nomenclature all over the world for the best Management Qualification. MHRM and MBA are both PG courses, no doubt on this aspect. However, MBA is the better one to go for. MHRM cannot be accepted by all corporates as it happens all over the world.

I am in agreement with your advice. While an M.B.A. provides a broad range of subjects related to industrial practice, an M.H.R.M. offers a specialized two-year program focused on Human Resources Management. The M.H.R.M. curriculum covers subjects that are directly relevant to industrial practice. Therefore, I recommend choosing either of these debated master's degrees for HR practice.

Learning HR from end to end is one option, which is purely academic. The second option is to go for an MBA in HR. Learning HR subjects is surely limited. Ultimately, getting into a good organization to start a career scores more.

Career and compensation are the two components to be successful in a professional career. One has to plan and pursue qualifications and certifications accordingly.
