Dear All,
Kindly help me out in this case: A person joined a company in August 2012 and confirmed his probation in December 2012, starting PF deductions from then. He left the company in October 2013 because the company was delaying salaries for 2 to 3 months. Currently, the company is locked out and banned for some reason. The PF statement indicates the company deposited the deducted amount up to April 2014, but the UAN is not activated. Please guide me on how he can withdraw his PF account balance.
Waiting for your responses.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Buddy,
If you are employed, please transfer the PF account to the current employer because if you go for a withdrawal, you will need the previous employer's signature. This may not be possible as the previous employer is banned, as you mentioned above. The best option is to transfer your PF account to your present employer.

If you are unemployed and your prior organization has closed down, you can still withdraw your PF. You need to fill out PF forms, i.e., Form 19 and Form 10C. These forms need to be attested by any gazetted officer, magistrate/notary, or manager of a bank (preferably a public sector bank).
