Dear All,
I am working in an NGO, and wanted a sample of Consultancy contract termination letter.
We have a part time consultant working with us and now she will join as a full time consultant with us, hence i want to cancel her part time consultancy contract and issue a new contract for full time.
Can any body help me with a draft at-least so that we can work around it.
Thanks in advance

Dear Rajalakshmi,
First and foremost, the subject heading of your post, "Termination Letter", is incorrect. It is not termination per se, therefore, I have changed the subject heading.
Did you enter into contract agreement when you took the consultant on board for part-time consultancy? If yes, why not to make amendments in the existing contract?
To provide the draft, we need to know the terms and conditions of the contract. Therefore, in whatever format, you may upload the draft, some senior may correct the draft. While drafting, you may include the following points:
a) Quantum of work that consultant is supposed to do in given span of time
b) Quality of work
c) Process for the payment of consultancy charges
d) Penalties for delay or failure in delivery
e) Bonus or incentive of any kind
f) Validity of the contract period, notice period for breaking the contract etc
g) Whether sub-contracting is permissible? If yes, then what are the conditions?
h) Conditions for maintaining the confidentiality (clause on non-disclosure)
g) Facilities that company will provide or not provide to the consultant
h) Code of conduct applicable to the consultant that is normally applicable to the employees of your company
The points are not in order. You need to make a proper order.
Thanks,

Dear Mr. Divekar,
Thank you for your reply and changing the the wrong subject into a correct one.
I would like to share with you that this consultant was hired on a project and now we don't need her services to wards that particular project. Hence we want to terminate the consultancy contract, however we are having another project where we want this consultant to work with us.
I am sorry but i will not be able to share many of the details required by you to prepare the draft. I just required the language to be used in such termination letter where we are indicating to the consultant that he/she will be working in a different project now on-wards.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks and Regards,
Rajalakshmi
