Dear Seniors,

Good Afternoon!

Hi all, I was away from CiteHR for quite a while. Now I am rejoining. I hope you are all doing great. Now let's talk business :-) As per the latest amendments in the PF withdrawal procedure, Form No. 15G needs to be submitted from 1st June 2015.

Tell me, if anyone resigned on 12/10/2014, and his procedure is pending, does he need to do the same? Please revert as this is urgent.

Best Regards,
Maulik Dave

Yes, it is required because we have to submit the form after 1st June 2015. It's not an issue when you resign from the company. But in the following terms, Form 15G is not required:

• Transfer of P.F. from one account to another P.F. account.
• Termination of service due to ill health of the member, discontinuation/contraction of business by the employer, completion of a project, or other causes beyond the control of the member.
• If P.F. payment is less than Rs 30,000/- but the member has rendered service of less than 5 years.
• If the employee withdraws P.F. after a period of 5 years of continuous service, including service with a former employer.

Hi,

I just need help filling out Form 15G for my PF withdrawal. I resigned from my job in August 2014. Initially, they submitted my PF withdrawal request, but later informed me of a signature mismatch. I resubmitted the PF form, and now they are requesting Form 15G to be filled out.

I resigned from my job on 24/02/2015 and am currently not working in India. I submitted my Form 15G and marked "NA" in column 23 as I do not have any income from India since the current assessment year is 2015-2016. Is this the correct approach, or should I include my salary details from the last year (2015-2015)? Please advise.

Additionally, could you kindly confirm if the details I provided in the form below are correct?

Column 3: Assessment Year: 2016-2017
Column 14: Last Assessment year in which Assessed: 2015-2016

Thank you.

Understanding the Clause of 5 Years of Continuous Service

I am a bit confused about the clause of 5 years of continuous service. Here is my story:

I started working for a company in November 2010 and worked there until April 2014. I got my PF transferred to the new company's PF account. Then I left this company in April 2015 for another one where I only worked for 1 month. I never made the PF transfer request, but both accounts are under the same UAN. I then moved to Canada in June 2015 on Permanent Residency.

I applied for PF withdrawal just before leaving, but it got rejected, which I later found out was because I did not fill out Form 15G. Now, since the opening of the first PF account was in November 2010 (more than 5 years ago), I want to apply again. Do I need to fill out Form 15G, and in case I am not able to provide the form, what deduction am I looking at?
