Spelling mistakes need to be corrected. A notice with spelling mistakes and improper capitalization will also be adversely commented upon by employees.

Tobacco chewing and spitting inside the office is strictly prohibited. Tobacco chewing and spitting have ill effects on health and the surroundings of the office. It has been brought to our attention that some employees are violating this policy despite several verbal warnings.

All employees are requested to follow the rules and regulations of the organization. Strict action will be taken against defaulters. Your cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

It is proposed to add in the draft of Mr. Nathrao the words "and violation of it will be treated to be misconduct." after the word "prohibited" to be more precise in terms of the apex court decision in Glaxo Laboratories of 1984. wherein it was held that action can be taken against acts of misconduct and none else.

Further, in order to make it applicable to workmen, section 9A of the ID Act notice has to be given. Furthermore, where standing orders are applicable, an amendment in the S.O. has to be done as per procedure.
