One of our employees in the final inspection department deliberately made a mistake (removed a diagonal sticker and re-fixed it in the wrong direction). We discovered this through our CCTV, and she admitted to the error. Subsequently, we issued a show-cause notice requesting an explanation. Despite four days passing, we have not received any response from her.

What should be our next step in dealing with this situation? Can we terminate her employment? If so, what is the proper procedure to follow?

Given the notice period, what is it?

If she has accepted her mistake or negligence, what was the result of her mistake? Did it cause harm?

If not, she seems to be unaware of its importance. Just give her lessons about the importance and consequences, warn her, and indicate that if she repeats the mistake, she will be terminated from employment. (Have her sign a letter acknowledging that if she repeats such acts, she can be terminated without notice.) Some boys and girls engage in such stupid and immature acts, doing so blindly or for fun without realizing the effects.

Show cause notice period is 3 days. Also, she made a serious mistake, and she did this deliberately. We identified this through CCTV. Due to non-receipt of a reply, we issued a suspension letter for 14 working days as a small punishment. If there is anything wrong from our end, please guide us.
