Dear Seniors,

We had an office in Mumbai which was registered under the Maharashtra Shops and Establishment Act 1948. Now we have closed our operations there. Do we need to inform the Licensing Authority about this change? If so, is there a specific form that is required? As far as I understand, a form, along with the Registration Certificate, and a request letter should be submitted to the Issuing Authority. Kindly confirm.

Hi,

You can surrender the shop license with a covering letter to the concerned labor office; no form is required.
