Hi,
I have a total of 2+ years of experience in the HR field. I was working in an IT company, but I had to leave that company for some reason. Recently, I joined a call center for the same HR profile. I am really confused about whether I have made a good decision or not. Could someone please tell me if working as an HR executive in a call center counts as experience and what are the future prospects?
Thank you.

It is not the vertical you work in that is important, but the nature and type of work you are doing. If you are satisfied with your job profile, and it is widening your horizons, keep working. Shiv

As I understand, many HR functions would remain the same, such as employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and employee engagement. In that case, why wouldn't the experience be counted?
Are you looking at a BPO from a prejudiced mindset? There are many reasons people don't want to work in a call centre/BPO, such as work pressure, a different environment, shift timings, etc. For example, I don't want to work night or graveyard shifts, which deters me from considering a job in a call centre/BPO.

Hi,
Working in a BPO or call center would not make any difference, but it matters what profile you are working in. I am associated with an international BPO, and I am in HR- Employee Relations profile, and it's been almost 4+ years working with the same company. KRAs remain the same except the industry.
If you talk about the industry, it is the only industry where you will find new challenges every day. Your profile matters, not the industry. Don't get confused; you have made the right decision.
Thanks.
