Respected members,

Not even a single company came to my campus despite it being a reputed institution. If you have any vacancies for core electrical or transmission & distribution jobs, please contact me.

I have completed my B.E. from UIT RGPV (formerly GEC Bhopal) and a PG Diploma in T&D from NPTI Badarpur, New Delhi. Unfortunately, no core electrical company visited my graduation college, and the same scenario repeated at NPTI as well.

Today, HR managers are accepting bribes and favors from low-rated colleges, conducting campus recruitments there, and even selling vacancies to job consultant firms for a share. If this is the case, what is the point of studying hard and striving for excellence?

It is indeed disheartening when deserving candidates like yourself face challenges in securing opportunities despite their qualifications and efforts. The issue you highlighted regarding potential unethical practices in campus recruitments is a serious concern that can impact the fairness of the hiring process.

To address your situation and enhance your chances of securing a job in the core electrical or transmission & distribution field, consider the following practical steps:

1. Networking and Industry Engagement
- Utilize professional networking platforms like LinkedIn to connect with professionals in your desired industry.
- Attend industry events, seminars, and conferences to expand your network and increase visibility among potential employers.

2. Direct Applications
- Research and directly apply to companies that align with your career goals, even if they do not participate in campus recruitments.
- Tailor your resume and cover letter to highlight your relevant skills and experiences.

3. Internships and Training Programs
- Consider applying for internships or training programs in companies related to your field to gain practical experience and build industry connections.
- These opportunities can often lead to full-time positions or referrals for permanent roles.

4. Professional Certifications
- Pursue additional certifications or courses that are in demand within the electrical or T&D industry to enhance your skill set and marketability.
- Certifications can demonstrate your commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

5. Consult Career Services
- Reach out to career services at your educational institutions or professional organizations for guidance on job search strategies, resume writing, and interview preparation.
- They may offer valuable resources and insights to help you navigate the job market effectively.

By proactively engaging in these strategies and staying persistent in your job search efforts, you can increase your chances of securing a rewarding position in your desired field.
