Dear friends
Our company having strength of 300 employees, wants to close it\'s Food Mess facility. There is 2 to 3 cooks to whom to issue termination letter. Would any one help me how to convey this message to employee.
What letter should be given to them as my boss really don\'t want to show company bad condition to be known by employees.
Thanks

You have to call the people informally and communicate to them in a gentle manner, the management's decision. You can give any convincing reason like high costs, plan for outsourcing etc etc. You can also tell them that you can facilitate alternate job opportunities for them elsewhere. Also, what benefits would they get after separation.
Best wishes

Dear Mr.Hasan,
It seems that you are not located in India.
In case if there is any provision of obtaining any permission or License from the Government to run such type of activity is mandatory? If yes, then convey your concerned cooks that it is becoming a troublesome to run this mess facility and company is compel to close the mess. Issue them notice accordingly and do the full and final settlement do not use any tact to pay them less in settlement and close the activity.
In this case I do not think that the problem will be with the cooks but the beneficiaries that all of sudden they will have to change their routine.
Regards
Ramakant
