Hi all,

I'm a little new to this forum but have heard great views about it. I need to share some ideas regarding INTERNAL COMMUNICATION STRATEGY. How should the top management communicate with employees in the organization to update them? Any COOL ideas????

Top management should be in touch with all the associates. In big companies/corporates, newsletters are used as a means of communication. In my 35 years of industry experience, I observe that such letters are not read by the employees. The management feels that they are "communicating." In many cases, such newsletters carry the events that happened within the company, wherein the photos of the "top bosses" cover most of the pages.

In a few companies where I find that the MD or the CEO themselves call all the employees and share the required information. This works better.

Top management should schedule a briefing for its employees. One suggestion is to have the briefing after lunch at the canteen, inside the working area, or in the open garden. Slides can be used to explain the points that are planned to be communicated. If the Managing Director (MD) or Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is not delivering the speech in the local language, a translator could assist.
