undersigned working in construction com ,my question is ----
if principal employer are issued form -v in my company , is it necessary to comply the contractors are deposited pf in my establishment code ,if they are having and maintaining their own code .
Pls give the suitable advise and legal ope anion .

If the contractor has separate PF/ ESI registration, he can deposit the PF and ESI by himself based on the wages paid to his workers. If he does not have his own registration, the Principal employer will remit the PF and ESI in respect of the workers engaged by the contractor at the Principal employer's premises based on the wages statement submitted by you and recover the amount so paid from the amount payable to the contractor.
