Dear seniors,

I am B. Vasu, working as an HR Executive. In my organization, some of the employees' names have been entered incorrectly in my HR master data. Consequently, we have been sending monthly PF & ESI returns with the wrong names since the joining date due to a mistake made by my previous HR team.

Additionally, some female employees joined using their pre-marriage names, and after marriage, their house names have changed. Now, they are requesting to update their house names accordingly.

I seek your suggestions on how I can resolve these issues for the employees.

Please approach your E.O. for PF and Branch Manager at the Local Office immediately, and they will guide you appropriately. Normally, this will be entertained by all authorities without any hesitation.

Sir,

In order to change/correct the names of Insured Persons (employees) under the ESI Act, 1948, the Branch Office of the area where such employees are registered is the appropriate office for correcting/amending the relevant records maintained for Permanent Identity Cards or returns of contributions, etc.

It will be even better if you contact the appropriate Branch Office Manager of your area along with documentary proof of the correct names/particulars of covered employees (IPs) or as may be desired by said Office.
