Dear Members,

I'm a small employee. I need your help. I have been working in the dotcom industry for the last 3 years. It's a 3+ years old firm with 100 employees, based in Pune.

A few months back, we discovered that the PF account number provided on the salary slip is a temporary number (Fake Numbers) given by the company just to maintain their records. Recently, we found out that they have changed the name of the firm. Rumors suggest that they changed the firm's name due to their liability to make it ZERO.

I'm a little afraid. I simply don't want to lose my PF amount.

Of the two suggestions given above, I would like to support the one in Post #2 because that would not put the employer in a tight position. You, of course, need employment. For that, the employer should run the company successfully. If you do anything that may upset his business, then you as well as other employees will also suffer. It is better to adopt a course in which both parties are happy. Of course, if the employer is not budging and trying to cheat you, you have to hit back by adopting the suggestion in Post #3 above.
