DEAR SIR
ONE EMPLOYEE WORKING SAME ORGANIZATION AS OPERATORS FOR 3 YRS. HE HAS PROMOTED AS STAFF CATEGORY W.E.F 01.08.2007. P.F AUTHORISED PERSON ALLOTED ANOTHER P.F AC NO. THE EMPLOYEE ASKED US P.F. ACCUMULATIONS TRANSFERRED FROM FIRST AC/ No TO PRESENT P.F A/C No. IT IS POSSIBLE. GIVE SUGGESTIONS US

I think firstly you should take in the notice of PF officer ,bcz as far as knowledge person doesnt require new PF number on promotion. In this care the establishment no & employees code both remain the same then how come they alloted new no.
but if company change the registration no, comapny name, or tansferred employees in different region with new registration then it can happen.
anyways you can transffered the accumulation from first account to another just you have to someformalities.

hai Myself shaheen zafar
i go through your problem as according to me if an employee get promotion in the same company pf no must not be change,if you change the pf no than there are two things which u can do 1.tell that person the truth that he have make claim for that a/c as it cannot be transfer, as he is working in the same company it cannot be transfer 2 go to pf office talk to concern person who is looking after your company a/c.but as i feel you people send pf return of him in the second no. where u make a mistake and now you are thinking over it i m sorry to say but you make a mistake dear. hope this will help if any other help you can mail me to my ID (shaheen.zafar10@gmail.com)

as per my knowladge you have to contact you local PF office and insistence then to solve it out. You need to show, he resigned from his post in 2007, and joined back. Discuss with PF concern person he will guide you.

Hi...,
We agreed with Jyoti. The available course of action is "transfer the accumulation from first account to another"

Dear All,
If the older (first) account is closed and the latter one is continued, the account holder is likely to lose pensionery benefits for the past period. Better write a letter to the EPFO and get the two accounts merged, retainig number of the older (first) account. For clarify, I give an example. First account was opened in the year 2000 and the second in the year 2005. If the first account is closed and the balance transferred to the account opened in 2005, the account holder loses benefits for 6 years (2000 to 2005). If the second account is closed and the balance is transferred to the account opened in the year 2000, the account will be 11 year old which does have impact on the pension at the end of one's career.
