Hi,

I worked with WIPRO BPO in Kolkata from Oct 08 to Feb 10. I was one of the best performers and was moved to the training team within 6 months of joining. Everything was going fine until I fell ill in Dec 09. I had a lung infection due to the centralized AC and informed my supervisor. He asked me to rest until I recovered. Suddenly, in the last week of December, I received a call from HR informing me that they were removing me from the payroll as I had been absent for more than 12 days. They did not accept the verbal approval I had from my previous supervisor. Upon returning, I discovered my supervisor had changed, and my access was not working, indicating I was no longer on the payroll. When I approached my new supervisor, she did not take any action. All she said was for me to come on my own, and she would handle the rest. I continued working until February, commuting during night shifts on my own, while keeping HR informed. By February, I was penniless as I had not received my salary for two months. I went to the line...

Thank you.

You should have given the notice in writing rather than having verbal communication. In the future, be careful to have everything in writing. You can have a discussion with HR in a professional way. Trust me, Wipro is a very good organization, and they will pay you for what you have worked on.

Hi,

You must have known the leave procedures because you have worked there since 2008. But still, I think you can speak with your Personnel Manager and get a solution. Let this be a learning experience for the future so that you can maintain written records.

All the best.

Regards,
Catherine
