Hi All
I have been working in a software company called Skytech Solutions in Kolkata for last 3 yrs 2 months. 21-Sep-07 was my last day there. They have given me the release letter, but no experience certificate. In the release letter no experience has been mentioned also. They have given these two letters to others but not me. They told me that it is not mandatory that they will give experience certificate to all. They are saying that since I have my joining letter with me, there will be no problem. Please help me out. I am totally depressed, don't know what to do because everybody is saying that every company asks for both release letter and experience certificate. Please guide me what to do. I will forever be indebted to anybody who will help me. Please reply..

Dear Nayan,
Providing Experience Letter with Relieving letter is organisation's duty.. As you have worked there, so they must provide you the details that how long how you were associated with them..
You just make a request with them, that its required for my further association with other company..
If they don't do so.. check whether the date of relieving is mentioned in the relieving letter.. if its there then you don't need to worry much.. As DOJ you have there with you in Appointment letter...

Amit Seth.

Thank You very much Sir,
But Sir I have one query. Even if I have the joining letter and the release letter with the releasing date in it, will it be possible that other companies may ask that there is no guarantee that I have no break in between that period. I have this concern within me. Please reply if you get time.

Hi Nayan,
In my perception.. they won't ask for the same..
Because by looking at both, one must get ensured with the genuine problem..
But do try to get the experience certificate also, if possible.
Regards,
Amit Seth.

Sir,
Today I talked with the HR and they again said that they cannot give in written that I worked from this date to this date as this designation. When I asked for the reason he said that they have such instruction. Do you think it will be better if I take legal action against them. Once again thanks a lot for your valuable advice.

actually it is the duty of any company to provide relieving and exp. letter to their exit employee. Any how i think dont go for legal steps but ask your employer why they have given these letters to others. what is the difference in doing that.

Hi,
I understd compeletlywith what you are going thru but I feel you should talk your senior and tell them that the present orgn has made a request for the experience letter. If even after ploite talks this does not work you shoudl talk to the main head of the orffice like the MD or whoever and expalin your predicament and I am sure you will get justice.
Ther is absolute no sense in goignto the Court as you will get tired by then so relax and be patient.

Yes I asked my Manager to look into it and she said she will, but in case nothing happens I will send a mail to the VP to request for the same.
