Hello All, Please help me to know if the leave policy for the employee and the office boy is the same?

Hi,

To help you answer your question, I will first ask you one: Is the office boy not an employee? If not, then he must be a self-employed contractor; therefore, the leave policy cannot apply. If so, then the policy is the same... surely?!

Harsh

I second Mr. Harsh Shukla. If the office boy is on the company's payroll, then he is an employee. So, why the discrimination? The question of the leave policy arises if he is not on the payroll but on a contract, i.e., third-party payroll.

You can create different policies for office boys. For example, they could have varying working hours or be exempt from late deductions that other employees face. Alternatively, they might not need to mark attendance like their colleagues.

The condition is that you do not discriminate against office boys and make a fair policy that follows the same standard as others.
