Dear Height,
You have not told if the leave was authorised or not? Had you informed before hand in writing, by the prescribed format in the organisation? Without these, your question is one sided and it will be unfair to answer....

Dear Height,

You should understand that every management of the company frames some parameters or norms for their employees within which they have to work and behave. It is expected that an individual employee will take prior leave or inform the management in time if one is compelled to stay back due to certain unavoidable circumstances so that alternate arrangement for smooth running of the section or department is made. I do agree that you may have problem relating to the illness of your spouse but instead of sending text message, you should have spoken to them personally about the reasons for which you had to stay back.By this action, you would have gain their sympathy as this kind of situation may occur in anybody's life. You will agree that you have not taken your job seriously.

Now since they have terminated your services, you have nothing to loose more. you can approach to them along with all the medical papers i.e doctor's prescriptions, pathological reports, medical bills etc. and convince them that you had to stay back due the compelling circumstances upon which you had no control and also apologize for for the mistake and assure them that you will not repeat such mistakes in future.I am hopeful that you will certainly get your relieving orders, if not your service.
