Dear friends,
Greetings to all on the occasion of HOLI and EASTER. As you know, the Industrial DA with effect from 01.01.2013 is 71.5% and 189.5% for the 2007 and 1997 pay scales respectively. Now, the IDA has been enhanced to 74.9% (a difference of 3.4%) and 195.3% (a difference of 5.8%) respectively with effect from 01.04.2013.

Dear Sir,
I need your guidance to explain the VDA calculation from the CPI index. For example, the basic pay for a worker is 2165. The CPI for the month is 210, with the original base at 1960 and the current base at 2001. The multipliers from 1960 to 1980 are 4.73 and from 1980 to 2001 are 5.66.
What would be the DA to be given to the worker for the month? How do I calculate it from the above information?
Thank you.

Dear Shilpa & Saiconsult,
I am very late to notice your postings. If you still want my response, kindly provide the base points in compliance with the last wage revision. For example, in the Central PSUs where wage revision has taken place in 2007, the base point is 2884 (1960) or 126.33 (2001). Similarly, for 1997 scales, the base point is 1708 (1960).
