This is a good posting. Perhaps there are some exceptions. Sentences like "LEST YOU SHOULD FORGET," "THE ACCIDENT WOULD HAVE TAKEN PLACE BUT FOR..." etc. carry words with a positive connotation. In my view, the context and the way we use a word are important.
