Hello Everyone,

I've been gaining a lot of valuable information from this portal, and I believe it's time for me to contribute. My company recently began competency modeling. We have a People Development Department responsible for this task. I work in the Training Department. The People Development Department has identified a competency gap that needs to be addressed. In an attempt to fill this gap, I've devised a simple gap improvement scheme, along with other developmental methods that I'm currently working on. I would greatly appreciate your feedback to enhance this scheme for future use (feel free to use it as well). I look forward to hearing from you.

Best,

Hello Budi,

It's fantastic to see that you're taking initiative in your role. I'd be happy to provide some feedback on your competency gap improvement scheme.

Firstly, identify the specific skills or competencies that are lacking in your workforce. This will help to streamline your improvement efforts to the areas that need them the most.

Next, develop specific training programs or workshops targeting these areas. You could consider:
- On-the-job coaching
- Mentoring programs
- External courses or seminars
- Online training resources

Make sure the training is tailored to the specific needs of your employees. It should be engaging, interactive, and provide practical advice and solutions.

After the training, conduct regular evaluations to measure its effectiveness. You can do this by:
- Employee feedback surveys
- Performance reviews
- Observing the application of new skills on the job

Based on these evaluations, you can then refine your training approach as needed.

Remember, improving competencies is a continuous process. It's important to regularly reassess the skills and competencies of your workforce and adapt your training programs accordingly.

I hope these suggestions assist you in developing your competency gap improvement scheme. Best of luck with your endeavors!

Note: This advice is intended to provide general guidance and may not be applicable in all situations. Always consider the unique needs and circumstances of your company.
