I joined one company and they told that after training finishes and my incubation period start and during that time if I perform well and achieve targets my salary will be revised. But I hear from many employees (not of this company) that many companies don't raise the salary as they claim. And sometimes they keep delaying. I have experienced this in my previous company too. Infact every month they were cutting some amount from my actual take home salary without reason. And when I ask manager he ask me to mail hr department. Every time I mail them they say that they will reimburse it and even when I left the company since last one year till date it is not reimbursed.

What you get in writing is what you get. All else is assurances...and its easy to go back on assurances and its not a crime. So, what you get is what you get - know this and then join a company.

2 separate points are raised by you

1. Whether the company raises your salary or not depends on many things. It's a qualitative call that can differ between what you think and what the employer thinks. If they want you there, they will increase your salary. If theynthink you are easy to replace, they will not increase.

If you see they are notq increasing the salary, you are free to change your job (as you just did). For someone who meets his quota and exceeds, there is generally no dearth of jobs as such.

2. No company can deduct from salary any amounts not clearly specified in sec 6 and 7 of payment of wages act. For all such deductions, the details must be communicated and clarified.

You should have taken it up with your hr and wi the top management. They know very well that people work for the money and that employees will fight for any unfair deduction. Even now you can talk to the management and give them a list of deductions and ask for a reimbursement.

Officially, you have the right to approach the labour officer or factory inspector or other authority for getting this money back. However, it may not be worth the while

If your salary is credited direct to your bank or you are issued a cheque every month & it differs with what is mentioned on your Appointment letter, you do have an issue to address. You may, however, like to know that your monthly take home need not be 1/12th of your annual C T C since the term C T C includes many other employee based costs which the company has to bear. Deducting such costs, if being done for all employees in the company, seems legitimate.
Taking the above into account, you may send by name to the CEO a letter mentioning your concerns & request for a reply. Please mail this letter by 'Speed Post' & track its delivery.
