Hi, Can any send the list of holidays -2013, as per factories act?

There are no fixed holidays as per the Factory Act except for National Holidays. Every organization declares its holidays based on the factory location after discussing with unions. In Maharashtra State, general holidays include Ganesh Chaturthi, Dassera, Diwali, 1st May, and other National Holidays.

Dear Members,
There is no fixed holiday as per the Factories Act. In other words, there are no days as per the Factories Act that should be compulsorily declared as paid holidays, unlike the Shops and Establishments Act. The Factories Act does not have provisions for National Holidays either.
However, please refer to the National Holidays and Festivals Act, if applicable, in your state to ascertain the holidays that need to be given. The State of Andhra Pradesh does have such an act.
