What should be the standard for Leave Entitlement duirng unpaid leave. Like an Employee is entitled for say 2 Earned Leaves each month.
1. Now when he's on leave for the complete month; would he still be entitled for the 2 leaves?
2. Also what should be the minimum number of working days for an Employee to get the monthly Earned Leaves?
3. Can similar rules be applicable in the month of joining and releiving?

Though there are different minimum number of working days specified under Factories Act and Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, in order to earn earned leave, an employee should have worked during the month. Therefore, if an employee has been on leave without pay for a month, for that month he will not earn any leave. This, however, does not apply for casual leave and sick leave which are prefixed.
