Hi all,

I'm working as an HR Executive in BPO since last Jul'11. I joined here as a Fresher. So I was getting paid very less salary as per the company standard.Even I was not on payroll of the company. In April 2012 my senior left the organization. So I was the only who can handled the HR dept. So I started working and gave my best. But that time I was appraised 1500 after requesting on my last salary which was too less. I wished that this time I'll be on company's payroll But the management didn't put me on payroll. But due to my study I didn't leave the job.

But now again it's time to appraise but again this time they appraised only 1000 on my previous salary that is not up to the mark.I was expecting that this time I'll be put on payroll. But it have not decided yet.As it is told to me that they will discuss it later.

Now the mine problem is only salary. If I'm taking care of the all HR dept then obvious I should be appraised. I'm frustrated now.

What should I do now? I don't want to leave the organization as it's gave me the opportunity to grow.

Please help me out from this problem.....!!!!

Hi Vikas,
I suggest you to search for a job and quit. When the company is not paying well as per your experience and work then i say they are not valuing your work... We work hard for the company by thinking that they gave the opportunity to "LEARN" but when it comes to career growth then they wont do anything... C in your case only they still kept you as Off roll employee after doing so much... So i suggest u to search for a gud job...

Dear Shalini,
Thanks for your valuable advise. I'm looking for job but the main problem I'm facing that I'm not graduate yet. I m pursuing my graduation. I appeared for an interviews. But due to undergraduate the companies can't hire me. So I'm looking forward the same. Hope I'll get it soon.

Dear Vikas
What is your priority, Salary or Growth ?
As you have mentioned that you have not completed your graduation it is highly unlikely that you will grow in terms of position to a very high level as after gaining hands on experience of the activities , your job would be to focus on strategies and policies rather than doing day to day clock like work.
I would suggest that you stick to the company you are working right now. Gain experience as well try to complete your graduation. Also suggest you do a professional course in HR so that your experience is backed by the qualification.
As you have been working only for about 1 and Half year don't expect that companies will pay you huge salaries even if you are handling the entire HR Department. Be patient and work your way upwards.
Best of Luck

Dear Preetam Deshpande,
Thanks for the advice. And obvious growth is my priority. As you said that companies will not pay me huge salaries. I'm totally agreed with you.But at least the company can pay me the standard salary. They are paying me down to their standard. Even I'm not on payroll yet after working for a long period with the same organization.
But anyhow as you suggested me a good advice. So I should look into it. And I will retain with the company until I completed my graduation.
Thanks

Dear Vikas,
You must be thankful to your organization that they have given you the opportunity to work and learn while you are earning.
Work very hard my friend. Learn as much as you can as you are handling the dept alone.
Your main focus should be Graduation and than any Degree or diploma related to HR.
Wish you a great luck ahead.
Warm Regards
