Hi Amit,
You didn't get any response... perhaps you had posted this under the section "Humour"!! Incidentally, I happened to see your query:
"Hello and Happy Diwali to everyone. Can you all kindly tell me about the prevalent SELECTION PRACTICES for JUNIOR EXECUTIVES in INDIA?
REGARDS,
Amit"
Prevalent practices for Junior executives include:
- Campus recruitments - GD interview followed by a personal interview.
- Behavior-based interviews if they have work experience.
- Some use psychometric tests to assess personalities.
- Competency-based interviews.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Rajat

Hello Amit,
You could also look out for junior executives from:
1. Training Centres: If you are looking for sales executives, try looking at centres offering sales training. I could think of NIS [National Institute of Sales].
2. Groups: Try in Yahoo groups specific to that skill like writers, testers, etc. There are also groups like Chetana Groups where you could find junior executives. Also, try sites like freshersworld.com.
Also, let me know if any other methods worked out for you.
