Hello Everyone,

I have newly joined this site and found out that it's very useful for upcoming individuals in the industry. Thanks a lot to all of them for continuously posting valuable messages and information.

It has been three years since I started working in a software company. Initially, I joined as a Front Office Executive, then began learning admin-related tasks, and now I am handling recruitments (specifically screening profiles and conducting telephonic rounds). However, my designation still remains the same as a Front Office Executive.

Now, I am eager to enhance my skills in HR and continue learning admin-related duties. Could anyone please assist me with the basic things or provide a list of tasks that are part of my current job and ways to improve myself?

Thanks and Regards,
Latha

Hi Latha, it's really nice that you are trying to learn things in HR. My advice is you should speak to your management to promote you now as an Admin HR executive if you want to go for an admin profile. As you are working on screening and telephonic rounds too, then you can also choose a recruitment executive profile. You have 3 years of experience in multitasking in all these, so try outside in some other company if you get a better opportunity. Things you should do are basic admin responsibilities. Instead of screening and telephonic rounds, you should do documentation work, joining formalities, coordination work internally and externally with vendors, all kinds of necessary reports, and get familiar with letter formats.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for sharing the valuable information and formats. I have a query: I am an MBA in HR and a graduate in psychology. I have completed several good projects with companies on employee engagement and reducing attrition rates.

Sir, I am seeking a HR generalist role. I have noticed that in the market, consultancy firms have numerous openings, particularly for graduates. How can we tailor our profiles to align with the expectations of MNCs, and what approach should we take to identify HR openings suitable for young MBA graduates?

Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
