Thank you, sir, for the valuable response. Can you please explain the exact difference between a Skill Matrix and a Competency Matrix? Are they the same thing? If possible, could you clarify my doubt with examples of the format for each?

Dear Pooja,

Skill -> The capacity of a person to do a specific job. Competency -> Skill + Attitude. A person may be highly skilled but doesn't have the willingness to work will be considered as incompetent. A skill matrix is generally skill-based, while a competency matrix is more behaviorally based.
