Dear All,
As am looking for a job change, i put my current location as BANGALORE instead of Hyderabad (Where am working presently) in job portals. If i get any calls how can i manage the recruiter. if he ask whats your present location. Kindly give me some suggestions on it.
Thanking you,

Go back to job portals and change the location. Why did you do it in the first place? You will be branded as "once a liar, always a liar".

That’s no reason to lie. As I said before, if you can lie on this issue you are capable of misrepresenting facts on all issues. That’s how you will be perceived.

dear Jagadish,
You are correct that you will not get many calls for jobs in Bangalore if you opt for Hyderabad as your current location on portals.
As per my experience, you can certainly mark your location as Bangalore and once you get a call, you must explain the genuine reason for shifting your base location and tell them that you can attend interview in Bangalore on 24 hrs notice. You can also get a new Sim Card for Bangalore as well and mention the same on your CV as most consultants will hesitate to make an std call to candidates.
I think it would work. Further its not about lying but making job portals work for you technically in changed circumstances as all the information on your CV is genuine except the location.

It is not about fake information etc. Your current location will obviously be your present location, which is Hyderabad in your case. While you should keep your current location as Hyderabad, in job portals you can also choose the cities you are open to relocate to.
Kindly note, in case of HR for Junior and Middle level, preference is always given to the local candidates.

Recruiters do not bother with candidates from other cities even if they want to relocate, unless it's a skillset not locally available. This is because of hassles in arranging for interviews at short notice as well as percieved difference in wanted salaries.
Let your location on the site say bangalore
When someone calls you have to tell them you are currently in hyderabad as the company moved you there. Rest of the things that Vikas said are the best way to go.

Dear Jagadeesh,
In first place you yourself are labeling information as "fake". You dont need to think in that way. Always be optimistic.
Second, there is no big travel distance between Hyderabad and Bangalore. You can reach on short notice. No interviewer will call you on the same day to attend an interview and even if he/she does you can always buy time. Explain that you are currently in Hyderabad and will visit Bangalore in couple days.
Look if your qualification matches the requirements of a job then you will be given pretty decent time to make your self available for an interview. I am based in Jeddah and I do receive calls from other cities of Saudi Arabia. I never encountered any problem in mentioning my current location.
Good luck.
