If someone is on leave for entire month due to extension in maternity leave, granted as approved LWP, would that person get nothing for that month or is she eligible to get the basic, Medical and other expenses? What would the salary slip show?

The very name LWP in Indian employment rules means Leave without pay and hence no pay is admissible for the period an employee is on LWP, provided the absence is not during the period of 12 weeks of maternity leave.

If an employee is on LOP for the entire month he will get nothing, implying he will not be eligible for medical or other allowances. The salary slip will show the salary with break up in the first column but in the column menat for salary earned, it will show 0,0,0, etc.

it's all Depends on the Company internal policy.
In case of maternity follow the act. PAID and Casual leaves accrue depends on the company's leave policy. During illness- If employee is covered with ESI then Paid and casual lapses depending on the service of the employee and again company's leave policy, if not covered then also casual leaves lapses as it taken into consideration and paid leaves will depend on the company's policy again.
