The name itself means that the Bonus is based on the performance of the employee. Company can rate employees based on the performance through Performance Management System will is linked to increments and Bonus.
It is not mandatory to pay performance bonus to all employees. It is purely based on the performance on individuals defined KRA.

as said by fellow proffesionals ,,, Performance Bonus is not an mandatry obligations which a company may follow, It depends on the company rules and regulations. the one who exceeds or meets the set target in the appraisal planning session will get the increment in form of bonus..
