Dear All,

I want to know that I forwarded my PF withdrawal documents (Form 10C & 19) to the PF office on 29.09.2011. I still haven't received my PF amount. When I check the PF claim status, it always shows "your account is under process." When can I expect to receive my PF amount? How long does it usually take to process a PF claim?

Can anybody suggest me............

Dear Arun,

According to EPFO guidelines, it takes around 30 days to receive your money in your account. Sometimes it takes 30 to 60 days to receive your money. For claim status, you can approach the concerned PF office along with the acknowledgement.

Yer Priyadarshini is right. But in this case, you may also make an inquiry as to whether any form or supplement, which is supposed to be attached to the PF & Pension withdrawal form by the Employer, is pending. Because, in most cases of withdrawal, due to incomplete documents, claim forms are being rejected by the employer. So, it's better to check with your company's HR office as well to see if such a returned claim form has been received by the company or not.

Making an inquiry at the PF office is recommended, but also try to check the clearance from the employer.

Hope you will find this helpful.

Dear Arun,

You can directly call your regional EPF office and, using your acknowledgment number, check the status of your withdrawal. Alternatively, you can visit the EPF office in person. Generally, it takes 30-45 days for any PF clearance.

Hi,

In my opinion, maybe 2 or 3 months, and after that, there should be no issues with your documents, so your PF will definitely transfer to your account. It's okay, no problem. You can ask the PF Officer to provide all types of knowledge about how to collect PF, and the PF Officer will be helpful to you.

Thank you.

Dear All,

Good joke to see. I am not 100% in agreement with the PF department's work culture. The entire PF department staff are not working. I have been trying to withdraw my PF for the last four months after deposition. My claim was registered and entered into the system, but to date, I have not received my PF settlement from the EPFO Bandra office.

I have sent numerous emails to the relevant authorities along with my acknowledgment, but they have not provided any feedback. I am truly frustrated with the PF department's work.

Thanks & Regards.

Dear Manish,

Kindly go to your EPF office and directly meet with the RPFC (Regional PF Commissioner). He will definitely help you. Before going to him, talk to your dealing clerk as well if you have not approached him earlier.

Dear Manish,

Kindly ask your HR department if they can easily provide you with the information, as they are dealing with that person. Alternatively, if you directly go to the EPF office and inform the reception about your case, they will guide you. When you go there, please remember to take a copy of the acknowledgment receipt as it will be helpful for them to track your case through the acknowledgment number.

Dear Arun,

There are two ways to get your PF amount as soon as possible. You can either use the online grievance registration process available on the PF site or file an application under RTI to inquire about the reason for the delay.

Dear All,

To whomever posted the query regarding the PF withdrawal issue, based on my knowledge, the actual time frame for PF settlement is given as 90 days. However, it never gets settled within 90 days due to various issues at RPFC or EPF offices, and sometimes delays occur due to the submission of the form by the company.

Therefore, when submitting the PF claim form, please bear in mind that you may receive your money within 6 to 8 months. It is advisable to start following up on the settlement status after 6 months. This proactive approach can help reduce your frustration.

Kindly keep these points in mind to manage expectations.

Thank you.

Arun,

First, check if you have mentioned your local account details or out-of-town details because it will take up to 6 months for clearance. If not, go to the PF office with an acknowledgment to identify the reason.

I want to know about the Pension scheme. Some part of the PF is going to the Pension scheme if an employee has completed 20 years and been paying PF since 1997. His last drawn salary CTC is 65000/- per month. The contribution to PF is 3320 from his account. How much pension will be paid to him.

Dear Arun,

Though the EPFO guideline says 30 days, it means 30 'working' days - calendar 6 weeks. Normally, it takes 12 weeks, especially during this season (Oct-Dec) when a lot of government holidays are there. Also, year-end means more leave is taken. You should expect the amount credited between 15 Dec to 15 Jan 2012.

Hi,

I worked with Genpact and left that company in 2008. Since then, I have not applied for my PF account. Can you please help me with how to apply for it and obtain my account balance?

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Pal,

Do you know your PF account number? If yes, then simply log on to EPFO and click on EPF balance, select your state and city. Later enter your PF account number. This is the only process.

As you mentioned that you left Genpact in 2008, did you leave without intimation or with intimation? I assume you might have left without serving the notice period, which could be the reason they are refusing to submit your PF account in the PF Office.

In this scenario, you can only do one thing, which is to go and approach your Genpact HR for a signature on the PF Withdrawal form multiple times. If they still refuse to submit your PF account, then you should go to the PF Office and register a complaint in the Vigilance section.

The PF vigilance department personnel will visit Genpact, inquire about the incident, and obtain the signature on your PF withdrawal forms.
